Beth M. Biggs MFA, RCA, QGJM


Biography


Beth holds a Master of Fine Arts from the State University of New York at New Platz, a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Education from NSCAD University. In 2003, she was decorated with the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal and produced the Clarkson Cup for excellence in women’s hockey. Exhibiting internationally and numerous awards earned Beth an election to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 2006. Her work is in the collections of the Nova Scotia Art Bank, Nunavut Arctic College, Her Majesty the Queen of England, former Prime Minister Jean Chretien, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, Macdonald Stewart Arts Centre, and Nunatta Sunakkutaagint Museum. Beth taught at NSCAD University and Nunavut Arctic College before arriving at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design where she has taught in the Jewellery/Metal Arts Program since 2006.
